First Day on The Canals

The Northampton Arm Top Lock
Well we woke up to an amazing view and the prospects of another lovely day. Had a lay in this morning setting off at 8.30.  Filled up with water and the Elsan cassette and headed for Weedon. After brunch at Weedon we got a bit of shopping and then on to Whilton for the first set of Locks. We met up with a couple (Tim and Louisa on a hire boat) and did the Locks with them which always makes things easier. Moored up at Buckby for the night and plan to get to Braunston tomorrow.

Filling up with Diesel at Fred Tarry's
(we always fill up here as the price is good 79p Ltr and the
fuel is good quality)
