Addersbury to Kirtlington

Had a leisurely light breakfast as the Spaghetti Bolognaise was quite a large helping last night. We filled up with Diesel and Water as planned at Anyho Wharf and then made tracks for Kirtlington.. We wanted to stop at The Hayfords (upper and Lower) to have a look round but could not find any free suitable moorings. Never mind another time maybe.  Arrived in Kirtlington at around  4pm  and walked into the village to have a look round and burn off that spaghetti. Kirtlington is a pretty village but very sleepy, mind it was Sunday afternoon but unusually even the
pub was closed. We got back to the boat and contacted John a Barbara our friends from Tenerife and arranged a meet up tomorrow. So looking forward to that and visiting them at their country lake setting.

That Spaghetti Bolognaise (but it was tasty even if I do say it myself)
It was so good Christine had finished hers before I could get to the table!!!

Our View at breakfast The biggest back garden in the world

Waiting for the Lock to fill (either that or he has lost his horse)

Cows trying to escape the Bull. He can be seen just at the end of the herd and a big lad he was

The canal narrows down. It reminded me very much of the River Lark off The Great Ouse in Cambridgeshire

Chocolate Box Cottage or What ( sun behind unfortunately)

Kirtlington Church
