We headed off this morning at about 11am. It gave me time to finish yesterdays blog and for a bit of rain to pass. We only got as far as Thrupp as we want to look around here at our leisure so todays blog is rather short. I will put on some photos to keep you interested! (Oh and a first a video if I can manage it)
The Art and skill of Locking in
Christine preparing to move to the lock |
Moving out |
Allowing for wind and flow |
In through the gate (not touching the sides note) |
Nearly in dead centre Didn't she do well. It's not as easy as it looks as you have to allow for wind and flow from different direction |
Unfortunately the video would not download so that is why I have had to show it in stills
Not sure where Christine got this coat but Jake The Peg ( if that is still PC) came to mind when I put it on before a brief shower |
Another Canal side poem on cast iron plates "The Heron" |
Clever or what. I'm getting good at this (what do you mean about time) |
Thrupp Church right on the Canal/River side |
