Kirtlington to Thrupp (not very far)

We headed off this morning at about 11am. It gave me time to finish yesterdays blog and for a bit of rain to pass. We only got as far as Thrupp as we want to look around here at our leisure so todays blog is rather short. I will put on some photos to keep you interested! (Oh and a first a video if I can manage it)

The Art and skill of Locking in
Christine preparing to move to the lock
Moving out
Allowing for wind and flow
In through the gate (not touching the sides note)
Nearly in dead centre

Didn't she do well. It's not as easy as it looks as you have to allow
for wind and flow from different direction

Unfortunately the video would not download so that is why I have had to show it in stills

Not sure where Christine got this coat but Jake The Peg ( if that
is still PC) came to mind when I put it on before a brief shower
Another Canal side poem on cast iron plates
"The Heron"
Clever or what.
 I'm getting good at this
(what do you mean about time)

If any of the Tenerife crowd are in touch wit Donald
can you tell him I have bought a great Satellite Dish
for the complex it was a steal at £150.00. It will get all the channels including
MARS 1,2 AND 3 HD
Only problem is Ryanair want £500,000 to ship it so the admin fees will
have to go up I'm afraid.
Thrupp Church right on the Canal/River side

NB Lottie safely moored up for the night
At T.C.C.C Thrupp Canal Cruising Club AWCC Affiliated
